The Future of Baghdad and Iraq as Prophecied According to God's Word Through The Holy Bible in The Book of The Prophet Isaiah
Bagdad will soon be engulfed by the Kurds who, of course presently reside in the north of Iraq and north of its border region. Quoting the prophet Isaiah of The Holy Bible on the future of those who reside in Bagdad which was called Babylon in the days of Isaiah, (Isaiah 13:17): "Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it." The Kurdish people fit the role of the Medes in this prophecy because they are a nomadic people who naturally do not regard silver and gold because of it's great inconvienience of transporting those resources due to thier great weight. The Kurds shall soon take over Baghdad but it will come to be uninhabited by even the Kurdish people who shall soon govern there, outrightly. To further quote Isaiah 13:19 "And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged." The end of Bagdad as an inhabited city is aproaching according to this prophecy. It is to be fulfilled towards the end of this age before Jesus Christ's return, and the reason why we can be sure of this age being the end times is because the word of God is becoming known by the entire world by the advent of the internet and other technologies and because of the work of evangelists of Christ who have spread the word of God to all nations. To quote the words of Christ in the book of Mathew (24:14):"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

The Edomites: The Peoples North of The Mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, South East of The Dead Sea (Southern Jordan); Condemned by God For Their Sins.
There will soon be a great waste and great devouring of the palaces of Bozrah and a fire upon Teman in Southern Jordan. Esau's brother is Jacob, the father of the twelve tribes of Israel, and God will punish Esau because he and his progeny have persued the projeny of Jacob without pity, and with the sword, keeping their anger tearing perpetually against the projeny of Jacob and keeping their wrath forever against Jacob's children. Edom shall become a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof. This is the fate of Edom, in prophecy, and as accounted by the great prophet Jerimiah 49:17.
